Our values

Environmental Sustainability

CleanAlp is committed to protecting the alpine environment and promoting sustainable practices. The project aims to reduce human impact through research, cleanup, outreach and pollution prevention activities, ensuring the preservation of a valuable ecosystem, including for future generations.

01
Collaboration and Community

CleanAlp believes in the power of collaboration between citizens, enthusiasts, institutions and local communities. Through collective efforts, the project unites people from diverse backgrounds for a common goal: to protect and preserve the beauty and biodiversity of the Alps.

02
Education and Awareness

Environmental awareness and education are at the heart of CleanAlp's activities. The project works to inform and educate the public, schools and professionals about the importance of conserving the Alps, encouraging responsible and conscious behavior toward nature.

Where we started

CleanAlp was born out of a deep love for the mountains and an awareness of their crucial importance to ecological balance and human well-being. It all started with a small group of hiking and nature enthusiasts who, during their hikes in the Alps, noticed with growing concern the damage caused by pollution, particularly plastic waste abandoned along trails and in natural areas.
Our idea was simple but ambitious: to join the forces of volunteers and local communities to clean up the Alps, reduce environmental impact and raise awareness of the importance of preserving these unique ecosystems. Thus was born CleanALP, a project that, step by step, began to grow and involve more and more people.

Where we want to get to

Our main goal is to protect the Alps from pollution, with a focus on plastic pollution, and to raise awareness of the importance of preserving this unique environment. By 2027, we aim to extend the project throughout the Alps and Apennines, involving thousands of volunteers and professionals. We also aim to strengthen our activities in schools and mountain territories to educate future generations and support sustainable tourism
